There’s been a surge in Femtech solutions, especially surrounding wearables and devices. What I especially think is great is the fact that it’s not just focusing on reproductive health, but women’s overall health and wellbeing. Funding in femtech is also, thankfully, growing. Though maybe not as fast as it should
A main one could be access to healthcare. Legal and policy changes in different regions could restrict access to reproductive health services, including contraception and abortion. Another one is the fact that breast and cervical cancers, which can be caught early, continue to be major health concerns.
One thing that could help both of those major challenges is improving access to healthcare and creating policies to mitigate these challenges as well as establishing care services in underserved areas. I think the wearables and devices aspect is helping since it provides a way to monitor and care for people in rural areas. Ensuring access to screening, early diagnosis, and treatment is essential!
